Thermax heater systems Charter Tech is pleased to announce the successful completion of system validation of an integrated process control and safety system for two direct fired heaters, operated by a major UK Client. Complex combustion control strategies, incorporating real time floating point control algorithms, which benefit the process by attaining maximum efficiency and flexibility, are implemented within a Measurement Technologies Limited (MTL) Open System Technology (MOST) process control system. The MOST process control system is integrated with an Intouch Wonderware Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System. Design of the SCADA system required due consideration of the Engineering Equipment and Materials Users Association (EEMUA) guidance No.191, titled, "Alarms Systems, A guide to design, management and procurement." This project has been engineered, and is being completed, in accordance with BS IEC 61511 principles and methodologies and other relevant standards. |
